- Clip your wire into a circle and hot glue. Reinforce joint by wrapping with wire to make your circle extra secure. Note: each lantern requires 2 loops – 1 for top and 1 for bottom. (Our loop shown here is 10 inches in diameter)
- Make a cross bar with your wire. This is only necessary for your lantern’s top loop, and is used for hanging.
- You should now have 2 loops of the same size- 1 with a cross bar and 1 without
- Hot glue your top loop about 1/2 inch or so from the edge of your paper making a 3D shape. Do the same with your bottom loop on the bottom edge of your paper.
- You should now have a tube like shape. Use your hot glue to seal the seam down the side of your tube.
- Voila! You’ve got a lantern. Hang with fishing line for a floating effect & cluster different sizes and width lanterns to create a focal point!
We loved the effect of these lanterns for a pop of color and whimsy this season and we hope you do too! Try them out and send us your pics at firstname.lastname@example.org – we’d love to see ‘em!
